Three outstanding teams shortlisted for Times Higher awards

THE University of Salford’s ‘backroom staff’ have been recognised for their outstanding work by the Times Higher Education (THE).

The University is shortlisted for three 2016 Leadership and Management Awards (THELMAs) for its work in business administration, finance and campus management.

Salford Business School’s Departmental Administration Team and the University’s Estates and Finance Teams were all shortlisted for the prestigious awards, which celebrate best practice in higher education leadership and management.

Judges shortlisted the teams for their vital contributions to university life in Salford for students and colleagues which include, among many others:

Vikki Goddard, Chief Operating Officer, said: “With three teams shortlisted in the prestigious THELMAs, we’re showing that Salford can lead the way with quality, innovation and leadership behind the scenes; supporting all our colleagues and helping to make sure our students have the best university experience possible.”

The awards will be made at a special dinner and ceremony on Thursday 23 June at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London. Good luck to all our outstanding colleagues!
