Salford jumps 10 places in Good University Guide

THE University of Salford has risen 10 places in the 2018 Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide.
We are now ranked at 88th in the UK, which is a significant jump up from 98th last year. The new ranking also places us at 9th best in the North West, above the University of Central Lancashire, University of Bolton and University of Cumbria.
Salford has hugely improved the satisfaction of students attaining 84% - equal to the national average across UK universities.
The tables look at teaching quality and the wider student experience, along with research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and degree completion rates.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Richard Stephenson said: “I’m delighted to hear that we’ve climbed a full ten places higher in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018. This year we’ve shown a major commitment to enhancing student experience and teaching excellence here at Salford; our new ranking is a real reflection of the progression we have made.
“I’d like to thank all colleagues for their hard work which has helped to place us on this upward trajectory.”
