WE ARE living in a VUCA world according to one of the UK's top business people.
Kevin Roberts, Ex CEO of Saatchi and Saatchi, gave a masterclass to a group of students at the University of Salford.
The group, including those on the MSc Sport Directorship course run with VSI, listening as Kevin explained his business philosophy and how they can excel in a world that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous.
Kevin Roberts said: “I think of myself as a radical optimist. I had 20 years at Saatchi and Saatchi, I loved the spirit there, nothing is impossible.
“In a VUCA world we need leaders rather than managers. Everyone here should be thinking about how to become a better leader, anyone coming to University should be thinking that
“Leader do three things. They inspire everyone they touch to be the best they can be, they create other leaders not followers and they move a company from getting things done to making things happen.”
