Fourteen sessions were held in either The Egg Suite/Digital Performance Lab in Salford’s MediaCityUK campus from 9:00am – 5:00pm. This was followed by a speed networking event open to all guests and speakers.
The session on ‘Impact of an EU referendum on Digital Economy,’ was one of the discussions on the day, looking at whether the UK leaving the EU would damage or benefit creative business and the digital industry.
The panel was made up of Lisa Smart (North West Lib Dems), Tony Clayton (Imperial College London), Steve Kuncewicz (Bermans) and Sam Clark (CRNetworks & Pirate Party).
Tony Clayton kick-started the discussion with why it could be bad for Britain to leave the EU, ‘Leaving the EU would disrupt links with the current UK major trading partners.’
