Architecture's reputation rises and rises

Monday 10 July 2017

BSc (Hons) ARCHITECTURE at the University of Salford is set to receive accreditation from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

The accolade from the one of the leading architecture institutions in the world, comes shortly after Architecture and Built Environment was placed 36th in the QS Global Rankings.

The quality of our main course in Architecture – the BSc – is reflected in applications to come to Salford from UK architecture students, which have risen again in 2017 – the fifth rise in as many years.

Thanking colleagues for the achievement, Professor Hisham Elkadi, Dean of the School of the Built Environment, said: “I am delighted to announce that the validation panel from the Royal Institute of British Architects has recommended that The University of Salford’s B.Sc. Architecture qualifications be unconditionally validated for 5 years*.

“This is an absolutely fantastic outcome and I would like to thank all academic and professional staff who has made contribution to the development of Architecture @ Salford."
