North West Regional Construction Awards 2015 set to highlight the Region’s booming construction industry

The ninth annual North West Regional Construction Awards 2015, in partnership with the Centre for Construction Innovation and the School of Built Environment at the University of Salford, are set to take place on Thursday 4 June 2014 at the Palace Hotel, Manchester.
The 2015 awards will celebrate another stellar year for the region’s construction industry, following the news that almost 5,000 jobs are set to be created annually within the sector over the next five years.
The awards aim to recognise exceptional companies and projects from across the regions that have demonstrated strength, passion and commitment throughout their project delivery in a collaborative and sustainable manner. A winner from last year’s awards, Beverley Clifton Morris Ltd, who took home the ‘Consultant of the Year’ award said: “Winning a North West Regional Construction award was great recognition of the leading work we have done in the North West on BIM and energy efficiency”.
Construction businesses from around the region have been enthusiastic in their response to a call for applications. Due to the high demand the deadline for the applications has now been extended to 5:00 PM on Friday 27 February 2015.
Entries to the 2015 Awards are welcomed from all organisations and project teams involved in delivering buildings and civil engineering projects in the North West including; developers, clients, contractors, specialist and sub-contractors, engineers of all disciplines, members of design teams and any other associated consultants
Professor Will Swan, Chair of Judges of the NWRCA 2015 Judging Panel and Professor of Building Energy Performance, said: “The University of Salford are proud to once again be heading up the judging for this year’s awards. It gives us a chance for the University to engage with the best of what the industry is currently doing. The School of Built Environment pride ourselves on being connected with industry and this gives us a chance to engage with the very best the region has to offer.”
He added: “The awards will showcase how new technologies such as BIM are implemented and how companies are supporting their staff development, all of which contribute to a fantastic industry.
Tickets are also now available to purchase online. The shortlist for the awards will be announced on Friday 16 March 2015, with winners set to be put forward for the national awards later this year.
