Salford excellence in Built Environment recognised in QS World Rankings

Salford has been ranked as one of the top universities in the world for the subject of Architecture within the School of the Built Environment (SoBE), according to a recent international league table.

 

SoBE continued its leading position in the QS World Ranking list of the world's top 50 universities, after the prestigious international university rankings organisation Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) placed the School 39th in the World and 4th in the UK.

The rankings highlight the world’s top universities in 36 individual subjects based on academic reputation and research impact. 

The news confirms SoBE's global leadership in built environment research and teaching.  Professor Hisham Elkadi, Head of School said the University of Salford owed SoBE's continuing success to a strong vision for the future and its wonderful staff, researchers, students, communities and partners.

Professor Hisham Elkadi said: "This year, the School has continued its confident steps in advancing academic excellence and driving innovation and engagement with its immediate regional context as well as its global leadership in various Built environment sectors.

"The strong start of our new programmes in Architecture and in Property and Real Estate, with fantastic new facilities in New Adelphi building will complete our excellent built environment portfolio and reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the future of the construction industry.

"SoBE will continue to create the future of resilient cities and urban transformation while supporting our students to be leaders of the jobs of the future in the construction industry" , he added.
